All Eleven Cities
The Frisian Eleven Cities are really worth a visit. The Eleven Cities have a colourful and varied history. Some of them have lots of history and derived their city laws through their international position of trade.

Others have originated as the main centre of the country side and became market towns.

The cities are all known from the Eleven Cities Tour. Within the year of 1909 the tour was organised for the first time by a Frisian ice club. Up untill now the route is organised only fifteen times because of the weather conditions. However the Frisian people still get the ‘Eleven Cities-fever’ every winter!
